Fishing for a Cure came together rather quickly while I was distracted from another project. I was inspired by some medical images I had in my collage materials. I knew I wanted to incorporate some of these medical images with an interesting box I had recently acquired. The porcelain doll remnant dug up from the grounds of an old factory in Germany was also important for me to include. Additions of vintage game pieces, typewriter keys, rusty barbed wire and a fishing lure round out the piece, which is finished with a chunk of brain coral on the top. This artwork can hang on the wall or sit on a table for display.
